Aqua became a worldwide sensation in the late 1990s before splitting up from 2001 to 2007. The band still features three of its four original members: René Dif and Lene Nystrøm on vocals as well as keyboardist Søren Rasted.
Aqua has sold well over 30-million records since its debut album, Aquarium, was released in 1997. It featured hits like Turn Back Time, Doctor Jones, and Barbie Girl, which instantly became a chart-topping single and is still remembered as an anthem of the ’90s pop-dance genre.
In early 2022, the video for Barbie Girl reached more than one-billion views on YouTube.

The Regina concert is to be preceded by a Much Retro Dance Party, giving ticket holders the opportunity to hit the dance floor while a DJ spins nostalgic tunes from the Much Music era on giant video screens.
“It is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the ’90s vibe,” says a media release from Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL).
